Senior Staff Scientist (Audio)
Surya Koppisetti is a Senior Staff Scientist at Reality Defender Inc., a New York-based company specializing in deepfake detection. In his role, he leads the Audio Research division and has built a deepfake detection product tailored for live telephony systems. Surya brings extensive experience in machine learning and signal processing to his work, with a background in building cutting-edge, enterprise-grade products for anti-drone technology and 5G telecom systems. Prior to joining Reality Defender in 2021, he was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, where he also earned his Masters and PhD degrees. Outside of his professional endeavors, Surya enjoys nature hikes and travelling, further fueling his curiosity and appreciation for the world around him.
