Welcoming Alex Lisle as Reality Defender's CTO

Ben Colman

Co-Founder and CEO

I'm beyond thrilled to announce that Alex Lisle has joined Reality Defender as our new Chief Technology Officer. In an AI-first world where the stakes of digital deception grow higher every day, Alex brings exactly the experience and vision we need to scale our mission globally.

When Alex joined us and we started discussing how to expand our impact beyond enterprise deployments, he immediately saw the opportunity. Together, we began shaping a roadmap to make our technology accessible to a much broader audience. We needed someone who had built the kind of robust platforms that could handle enterprise-scale deployments. Alex has done this repeatedly throughout his 25-year career, and his early leadership at Reality Defender has already shown he is exactly the right leader for this mission.

Throughout his 25-year career, Alex has consistently taken complex security technology and made it accessible at scale. He's helped pioneer commercial security tools, architected SaaS platforms that transformed how organizations approach threat detection, and built systems that bring enterprise-grade protection to everyone. He holds several patents in cybersecurity and has been published everywhere from Dark Reading to Forbes.

This pattern — taking complex security technology and making it universally accessible — is exactly what we do at Reality Defender. When Alex was in talks to join us, he immediately aligned with our mission and shared our excitement to expand it. His initial initiatives as CTO have focused on strengthening our core technology and ensuring that what we build is both powerful and usable, with an eye toward future opportunities for broader engagement. The momentum we’ve gained since Alex joined validates both our strategy and his vision for how to scale our impact.

Yet what truly makes Alex the right fit goes beyond his technical achievements. He's a builder who thinks in systems and scale. He brings the rare combination of strategic vision and hands-on execution that a mission like ours demands. He’s equally comfortable debugging code at 2 AM or architecting the future of our platform over a morning coffee.

As deepfakes evolve from curiosity to weapon, we're not just building detection technology — we're building the trust infrastructure for an AI-powered world. With Alex leading our technical team, we’re accelerating our ability to put enterprise-grade deepfake detection in the hands of those who need it most. The distributed defense network we’re building just got its chief architect, and I couldn’t be more excited about what we’ll build together.
