Bennett Morrison Joins Reality Defender as VP of Product

Alex Lisle

CTO

At Reality Defender, our vision has always been to enable trust in an AI-powered world. For a long time, that meant securing critical communication channels against deepfake impersonations.

Yet as we’ve seen with our recent API launch, the threat landscape is evolving. To meet the challenge of generative AI tools that enable fraud at scale, we must expand beyond communications to become a foundational layer of trust for the entire internet.

That is why I am thrilled to welcome Bennett Morrison to the team as our new VP of Product.

Bennett joins us with over 15 years of experience building enterprise SaaS products in the cybersecurity and compliance spaces. He knows what it takes to scale; during his time at SecurityScorecard, he helped drive 10x revenue growth, and later helped drive 3x growth at Thoropass. He has a proven track record of turning complex realities into scalable engines — exactly the kind of leadership we need as we put our enterprise-grade detection into the hands of developers everywhere.

Yet what excites me most about Bennett isn’t his resume; it’s his alignment with our values. We exist to protect organizations and citizens from the damage caused by AI deception. Bennett serves as a Board Member for The Parasol Cooperative, a nonprofit building survivor-centered technology to combat gender-based violence and human trafficking. He understands that technology must be a force for safety and integrity.

As we continue to build a broader ecosystem of trust, Bennett will be instrumental in guiding our product strategy. Whether he’s working from our HQ or his home base in Brooklyn, we are lucky to have him.

Welcome to the team, Bennett.
